Respected Sir/Madam, I am writing to bring to your attention an incident that occurred during my recent train journey. I was travelling along with my family (4 members, including an 11-year-old kid and my 6-year-old son) on valid confirmed tickets. However, despite having valid tickets for all adults, the TTE demanded an additional fare for my 6-year-old child. Initially, the TTE demanded ₹1970 as extra charges, which was unjustified. After some discussion with his senior, he finally collected ₹1480, which is still nearly double the fare of a normal adult ticket. This amount was charged without any proper receipt or justification, and I believe this was an act of overcharging and misuse of authority. and their behavior (another TTE came from coach M2) with the kid was like we committed a major crime or were terrorists. Kindly find the attached receipt and ticket details.
